 | Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies Prep Time:15 minutes Cook Time:10-12 minutes Serves:22 cookiesIngredients: 2 tablespoons oil, preferably canola
1/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 cups uncooked oats
1 cup flour, preferably half white and half whole wheat
Low-fat cooking spray
Optional: 1/2 cup raisins Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
2. Mix together the oil, applesauce, sugar, egg, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Beat well.
3. Add the soda, powder, oats, (and raisins); mix well, then gently stir in the flour.
4. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto abking sheet treated with low-fat cooking spray.
