Hearty Turkey Spaghetti Prep Time:2-3 minutes Cook Time:15 minutes Serves:8-10Ingredients: 1 16-20 oz package of extra-lean, ground turkey breast (I use 99% fat free Jennie-O Turkey Store Brand)
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 26 oz or 1 42 oz jar Healthy Choice spaghetti sauce (or any other low fat spaghetti sauce)
1 package mushrooms, chopped (1 1/2 cups)
Any whole-wheat pasta Instructions: Brown ground turkey breast and season with Italian seasoning.
Drain off any fat from turkey and then add tomato sauce and chopped mushrooms.
Bring to boil and then simmer for 10 minutes.
While sauce is cooking, prepare whole wheat pasta per directions. Rinse in cold water when done, drain and set aside.
Makes 8-10 servings. One serving being approximately 3/4 cup pasta and 1 cup spaghetti sauce. Reference:Kelli's Cookbook
